★★★☆☆ Piccolo Me

Piccolo Me

If you love coffee, Nutella (but like who doesn't), fried ice-cream, Malteasers and food syringes with crazy fillings like warm caramel sauce then Piccolo Me is the place for you! It's the perfect Coffee:Nutella ratio that makes the Nutella iced coffee surprisingly refreshing and not overly sweet. It combines the delicious taste of  the beloved hazelnut and chocolate spread, a shot of full-bodied coffee and some fresh milk. Then there is the Fried Maltella ball! OMG. It's basically a tiny brick of Nutella, surrounded in velvety ice-cream, coated in pieces of crunchy malt and served with a syringe of warm, rich caramel sauce. I will certainly be paying these guys another visit!

★★★☆☆ Fluffe

Fluffë
Now here's a dessert that will take you back to when you were a kid! The light threads of sugary clouds that dissolved as soon as it entered your mouth. Fluffe is here to give you a sweet reason to take a trip back in time with their extensive range of gourmet floss with a cheeky twist. I really enjoyed mine! Their fun flavours include;
Mojito
Tropico
Rosetachio
Birthday Cake
and my personal favourite - Unicorn Poop

All flavours $5

★★★★☆ Sundweesh

Sundweesh

During #parralanes, I decided to visit Sundweesh (or the way my mother would say sandwich as though it was an Arabic word). The stall produces some of Sydney's yummiest Middle Eastern influenced street food wrapped up in soft rounds of Lebanese bread. Fillings include;

Kafta, Tabouli and Hummus               $12
Chicken & Peri Peri slaw                    $10
Asian slaw & Hoisin Kewpie mayo    $10
Vegetarian chickpea mix                     $10

After suffering a sugar coma, I decided to have the Kafta Sundweesh to balance my palate. I'm so glad I did. I really admired the authenticity of the food. The Kafta tasted the same as the ones my mother makes for my family at family BBQ's; juicy, full of flavour and with lots of onion and parsley in the mixture.  The tabouli, king of all Middle Eastern salads, was neatly seated on top of the rest of the succulent Kafta fingers. Finally, the silky smooth lashings of hummus that generously coated the bed of tabouli helped keep everything together. It was the icing on the Sundweesh.

★★★★☆ Black Star Pastry

Black Star Pastry Watermelon, Strawberry & White Chocolate Cake

If you have never tried the Watermelon Cake by Black Star Pastry, you have not lived. This light slice of Summer will leave you begging for more. It consists of the traditional cake elements such as a soft sponge and velvety cream but somehow a cheeky slice of watermelon has made its way in between the layers. The watermelon slices themselves really break up the rich flavours and are quite refreshing for the palette. The cake is then topped with fresh slices of strawberries, some jelly and white chocolate shavings. It is just so light and delicious, perfect for the whole family (or you can just keep it for yourself - shhh).
